REVEIL will embark on its 12th loop around the sun on Saturday 3rd May at 5am UTC+1, completing its journey on Sunday 4th May at 6am. This year, Ramsgate Radio will proudly broadcast the entire event, featuring a live dawn feed direct from Ramsgate Harbour.

Reveil is a collaborative sound and radio project that circles the Earth on live audio streams at daybreak. The last broadcast featured 145 streams from a wide range of environments and situations, capturing the sounds of sunrise from across the globe.

Many streams come from soundcamps: small or very small gatherings in places of ecological and acoustic interest. Last year there were 26 soundcamps, from rural landscapes to urban spaces and everything in between. This year’s Reveil will be mixed from a hub at Stave Hill Ecological Park in Rotherhithe, South London, alongside stations on the Sunshine Coast, in Valparaíso, Chania — and now, with a new dawn soundscape from Ramsgate Harbour.

Ramsgate Radio coverage starts at 5am on 03/05/2025, and will continue to broadcast uninterrupted until 5am on 04/05/2025.
